Books for Review

We also invite poets and/or publishers who wish for their recently published full-length collections of poems to be included among those in our "Book Reviews" section to mail TWO COPIES of their book to:

Books should have been published within the last 3 years of the forthcoming annual issue of Presence.  For example, for a review to appear in Presence 2022, a book's publication date should not be earlier than 2019.

Only full-length collections will be considered for review, not chapbooks. We do not review self-published books.

Should complimentary review copies not be available yet, please e-mail your request for a review along with the title, author, publisher, and date of the book's publication to the editor at mmiller@caldwell.edu.  Provide a web link to the title, if possible, as well as an explanation of how the collection fulfills the mission of the journal.

Reviews of books for which a print copy is not available by June 1 may not be able to be included in the next annual issue of Presence. Because of the high volume of books that we receive, reviews of some new books often cannot be included until the second or even the third annual issue of Presence following the publication of the book.
